Today is Bus Driver Appreciation Day!
We have an unbelievable group of drivers at Spiro Public School. Today we are sending out a big Thank You to our transportation staff and bus mechanic. From the early morning hours to the late-night ball games and activities, thank you for ensuring that our students arrive at their destinations safely and on time. Spiro Public Schools intends to apply for a competitive grant through the Oklahoma State Department of Education. The competitive grant is called the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. If awarded, the district intends to utilize the grant to offer before school, after school, and summer programming for Grades Pre-K through 5 beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. Three members from the Spiro High School FCCLA chapter have qualified to compete at the National FCCLA Convention, which will be held in July in Orlando.
The qualifiers are:
Ashlyn Cox - State Champion Level 1 Career Investigation
Analia Lopez - State Champion Level 1 Leadership
Allie Ford - State Runner Up Level 2 Career Investigation
The Spiro High School FCCLA chapter also received a Gold Chapter of Excellence award and an FCS 💯 % participation award.

Congratulations to Abby Hogan!!! Mrs. Hogan has been nominated and is a finalist for the POE Excellence in Education Olan Isbell Administrator Merit Award. The winner will be announced Friday April 11th. Good luck Mrs. Hogan and thank you for everything you do for this school and community!
