The Indian Education Parent Committee of Spiro Public Schools will meet on Monday, April 13 @ 5:30 in the Elementary Library. Parents/Guardians of native students in the Spiro school district are welcome to attend.

Upcoming Testing Dates

At approximately 8:30 a.m., our School Resource Officer received a report that an individual in handcuffs had fled from the police. Due to the proximity of the event, the school was placed on a soft lockdown as a precaution. The soft lockdown allows for normal operating procedures in the buildings, just not transitioning outside. This lasted for approximately 20 minutes before the authorities gave the all-clear. At this point, school returned to normal procedures. Our first and highest priority is the safety of our students and staff. As a school district, we communicate timely and accurate information; we can only share information that we have or that is shared with us from authorities. Thank you for your support and understanding.

JH track students will not be home before the busses leave from school. Should return about 5ish, students will be contacting rides when they get closer to home.

Information from the OSSAA regarding the State Tournament:

No bands of any size or nature, no noise makers, no confetti, no banners, no emblems or placards, no signs, no thundersticks, no balloons, no laser lights, no megaphones, no foam fingers, no fatheads, no large poms, no large towels, no flags or other items that may be a distraction from the participants in the game or to the other fans are allowed.

There is a clear bag policy this year at the state basketball tournament.

Heritage Portraits will be taking spring sports teams and individual pictures tomorrow, March 10. Your student athlete should have received an order form from their coaches. Order forms and payments must be turned in tomorrow.

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Our High School Girls' basketball team has made it to state! They will play Alva at 10:30 am at the OG&E Coliseum in OKC. This major accomplishment, along with other school events our students have worked hard to qualify for, will require our district to pivot to a VIRTUAL DAY on Wednesday, the 11th. We are excited to support our Lady Bulldogs and other students as they represent our school and community with pride and enthusiasm! PROUD TO BE A BULLDOG!
