VFW AUXILIARY YOUTH CONTEST WINNERS
Congratulations to three outstanding Spiro Elementary students for their winning entries in recent VFW Auxiliary Youth contests. Greenly Carter earned a 1st place on the local level for her rendition of the National Anthem in the ”Get Excited for the Red White & Blue” and placed 1st Runner-Up in the state-wide competition.
Third grader, Lola Gist, placed 1st for her drawing entered in the ”Illustrating Arts” competition at the local level and a 3rd place at the state level.
First grader, Clete Gist, also received a 1st place locally and a 3rd place at state, for his entry in the ”Illustrating Arts” contest.
The students received monetary awards as recognition for their efforts. Congrats Greenly, Lola and Clete!
